Dinner, already made,
by an actual chef.
There is nearly always something cooked and ready in the case. Real French home cooking, made here that morning, in a container you carry out and heat at home.
What is usually in the case
It changes with the day, because it is cooked rather than manufactured. These are the ones that come round most often.
Hachis parmentier
The French shepherd's pie. The one to try first if you have not had it made properly.
Chicken pot pie
One of the real reasons people keep coming back, and it sells out.
Chicken cordon bleu
Done the way it is supposed to be done rather than the way the freezer aisle does it.
French mac and cheese
Not the orange kind. The children eat it and so does everybody else.
Quiche, whole
Lorraine, spinach, or veggie and goat cheese. Forty-eight hours notice for a whole one.
Whatever the season gives
Christophe cooks what is good that week. Ask before you come and you will know.

How it works
There is no plan and nothing to sign up for. You walk in, you look in the case, you take one home and heat it. When the day's batch is gone, it is gone - which is the honest trade for it being cooked fresh rather than held.
We are open 7am to 3pm, Monday to Saturday, so the case is at its fullest in the morning and thins out through the afternoon. If you want something specific, the safest thing is to ask us to put one aside.
